Russell Gilbert has been involved with fencing at Redlands Fencing Center since 2001. He expanded into historical stage combat while looking for a family activity. The remaining family members left to pursue other interests while Russell expanded his fencing armorer skills to stage. One of the original Rogues, Russell started performing in 2005 at the Norman Medieval Faire, Oklahoma Renaissance Faire (Muskogee, Ok), and the King Arthur Faire (Stroud, OK). Russell's talent with creating

historical props started with a rake and a pitch fork for the King Arthur Faire in 2005. While his work schedule does not allow him to perform as often as in the past, Russell still works with the Rogue's weapons and has been seen running the sound system in 2010.
